Increase insurance tax
on non-life insurance
The Belgian government has decided to increase the rate of tax on non-life insurance from 9.25% to 9.6%. This change is the result of a legislative measure and applies to the entire insurance market.
The new tax will come into force on 1 July 2026 and applies to all insurance premiums, as well as any additional premiums, where the due date falls on or after that date.
